- FIRST - Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams
Beside organizing a public annual conference devoted to Incident Handling - FIRST provides its members access to technology oriented workshops (members only) and other services. FIRST is an international network of highly skilled and motivated experts, that work together to deal with IT security problems, their prevention and to raise the awareness for Incident Handling.
- TF-CSIRT- CSIRT Coordination for Europe
This Task Force is established to promote the collaboration between Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) in Europe. The main goals of the Task Force will be to provide a forum for exchanging experiences and knowledge, to establish pilot services for the European CSIRTs community and assist the establishment of new CSIRTs, to promote common standards and procedures for responding to security incidents. CSIRT Accreditation

CSIRTs in Europe
TI as the European CSIRT Directory provides the only up-to-date source of publicly available information on CSIRTs. It is not (yet) a certification service, but ensures that at least the accreditated (Level 2) teams provide a comprehensive set of information. All Level 2 teams have access to tailored services as well as policy information on all Level 2 teams which is not made publicly available.

PRESECURE, due to its long time relationship with the CERT Coordination Center, was the first company to license the comprehensive CSIRT training material developed there. Courses are provided either in public or inhouse.
- Transits - Training of Network Security Incident Teams Staff
TRANSITS is a three-year European project to promote the establishment of Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) and the enhancement of existing CSIRTs by addressing the problem of the shortage of skilled CSIRT staff. This goal will be achieved by providing specialist training courses to train staff of (new) CSIRTs in the organisational, operational, technical, market and legal issues involved in providing CSIRT services.
CSIRT Operations
- CSIRT Handbook of Legislative Procedures
Funded by the Commission of the European Community, a project will develop a handbook, tailored towards the European CSIRT community. Such handbook would be a valuable tool as it would help CSIRTs to address legal issues related to responding and dealing with computer security incidents. It is expected, that an easy to use guide matches technical descriptions of incidents to the legal framework of the country in question and details procedures for working with law enforcement to respond to incidents.

Vulnerability Advisories
- EISPP - European Information Security Promotion Programme
The European Information Security Promotion Programme (EISPP) is a project co-funded by the European Community under the Fifth Framework Programme.
The EISPP project aims to develop a European framework, not only to share security knowledge but also to define the content and ways of disseminating security information to SMEs. By providing European SMEs with the necessary IT security services they will be encouraged to develop their trust and usage of e- commerce leading to increased and better opportunities for new business. The EISPP is a pioneer in the European Commission's vision of forming a European network of expertise within the European Union.
